Supporting Local Tourism Through Digital Education

Szallas Group participated in the 30th Anniversary General Assembly of the Heves County Rural Tourism Association, where our colleagues delivered a presentation on current market trends and practical ways accommodation providers can increase occupancy.

Representing the Hungarian Partner Success team, Bodnár Flóra (Partner Success Specialist) and Tikász Nikoletta (Partner Success Expert) shared practical insights on the growing importance of digital presence and online accommodation platforms in today’s tourism industry.

The event brought together accommodation providers with decades of experience in tourism, many of whom are still less active in the online space. Through practical examples, real-life experiences, and open discussions, our colleagues aimed to help participants better understand how online visibility and digital tools can support long-term competitiveness and sustainable growth.

Beyond the presentation itself, the event also created valuable opportunities for personal conversations and tailored guidance. Several attendees turned to our colleagues with practical questions regarding their online presence, platform settings, and optimization opportunities — demonstrating a strong openness toward digital development and learning.
